 About Vintage Clothing When buying vintage clothing, please remember that it is NOT NEW. Some items may have become slightly worn or faded over the years. The condition of each vintage or previously loved item will be listed in that item's description as one of the following. Mint - The garment is as pristine as when it was originally made and shows no signs of wear or damage (mint condition is rare for vintage clothing) Near mint/Near Perfect: Like new, no noticeable flaws. Excellent: The garment shows typical signs of wear caused by occasional use, but item is not compromised and is in wearable condition. Very good: An item is considered wearable but has some surface flaws such as a stain. Fair - Several flaws, wearable after repair **** About Vintage Sizes*** Fashion sizes have changed a great deal over the years. Although a vintage item may be marked as a large, that does not neccessarily mean it will fit the way a modern large fits. To ensure you are getting a garment that will fit you, it is best to use the numeric measurements listed. All measurements listed for vintage items are the actual fabric measurements of the garment. All measurements are taken in inches. In order to assure proper fit garment measurements must be slightly larger than your actual body measurements. If you do not know your body measurements, the easiest way to determine if a garment will fit you is to find a similar garment you may already have. Lay the garment on a flat surface. Make sure all buttons, zippers, etc. are fastened. Get your tape measure. Also when buying vintage clothing, please remember that it is NOT NEW.
